Focusing Change To Win

Focusing Change To Win

Over 25 years I have had the privilege of  working with great clients and consultants many of whom have become long standing friends and faculty members. It is these rich experiences that are reflected in this site.

After leading behavioral research, productivity and change management projects over 30 years I have both  a deep understanding and humility of what takes to lead major human capital projects that produce valued results.

These projects span process improvement, behavioral research and change management across manufacturing, retail and service sectors. Most of these projects started by selling to C level clients to leading multi-discipline teams.

My career theme is managing change for competitive advantage. Most recently this has been a co-authoring a book Focusing Change to Win with Kelly Nwosu from New Catalyst based on a survey of 1072 business leaders from 80 countries:

“Focusing Change to Win is a must read and reference for business people regardless of their companies size. Whether you run a family business or public corporation this book has thought provoking tools and questionnaires you can use immediately. Nick Anderson and his co-Author Kelly Nwosu have done a masterful job in distilling over 6000 business leaders’ comments into such a practical set of tools. If you want your next change to be successful, this is essential reading.”

Why the Crispian Advantage

See Nick give his introduction to a Community College’s Faculty

The Crispian Advantage grew out of Henry V’s his speech before the Battle of Agincourt (Shakespeare) and his victory

 ……And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian.’  Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispian‘s day.’ Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he’ll remember, with Advantages, What feats he did that day….. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by, From this day to the ending of the world,  But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;

Today’s battle….

It’s not dramatic to say that for today’s people translating change into bottom-line results has become a tough proposition.

  • Today’s challenge is committing more effort to succeed with less resources
  • Today’s challenge is as much about conviction as it is skill
  • Today’s challenge is leading people with a compelling and believable journey

Helping clients focus on meeting these challenges is why we exist.
